DAY 12
Over the last few hours, Sandy and the Production Team have been looking into allegations regarding cross-tribal communication that has been in play since before the tribe swap. As any allegation has to be taken seriously, we were disheartened to learn that a conversation between three players had taken place and although there was no game-talk and that these individuals were not in other games together, these players knowingly spoke with one another knowing that the rule was in force and continued to do so.
Scott, Shandy and Santiago were taken into a conversation with Production and were asked about this, the three players admitted this and promptly removed from the competition. Scott, Shandy and Santiago leave the game in 16th, 15th and 14th place respectively.
So, what does this mean for the rest of Botswana? What's the plan from here on out?
Due to the removals we're a few days ahead of schedule! We can't complain about that and the remaining players have reached the final thirteen. Sandy and the team have planned this season 2 to 3 months before the board was made, new applicants auditioned and former players were contacted to participate. We're really disappointed that the penalty for disregarding this rule, regardless of the presumed innocence, has had to be executed but we can't be relaxed with you if you're not willing to meet what is a pretty basic requirement.
As a hosting team, decisions have to be made and they're not taken lightly. Yes, this is an Online Reality Game, yes, it's a bit of fun, but we have to put our foot down when needed. We ask for the final thirteen to respect the decision made and for any queries to be addressed to us privately either one-on-one or to the entire staff. We shouldn't need to tell you, you're all adults, but if you're doing something in this game that you know is against the rules then it has to stop.
I can only apologise that both tribes worked so hard over the last twenty-four hours only for the round to end on such a bad note. Your efforts haven't gone unnoticed and that the rest of the game will continue without any further issues where we need to intervene in such a fashion.
With that said, Tribal Council has been cancelled for Boteti. Details of your next challenge will be up within a day or so.
