Tribe Name: Lakane. In keeping with the theme of tribes named after Botswanan Rivers, the merged tribe name is derived from the Thamalakane River which connects the Boteti River to the Okavango Delta. Shortened to simply “Lakane”, the tribe name itself symbolizes both of the former tribes becoming one.
The Design: The plaque itself contains a few different symbols, either pertaining to Botswana or to the game of iSurv1vor. The prominent colors featured are all the colors of the former tribes (Boteti green and Okavango purple) and now Lakane red. The past present and future is symbolized on the plaque by the skull, the fire, and the immunity necklace. The skull, a popular survivor icon, represents those who have fallen before us in order for us to get here. The fire, of course, represents all of our present lives in this game, and it is the one thing we strive to keep intact. The immunity necklace represents the future struggle ahead of us that we must face in order to get to the end. Our tribe name is featured prominently on the plaque, backdropped by an image that represents all of us still left in the game. The final symbol depicted on the plaque is, of course, the rivers of Botswana for which are tribes are named!

I didn't add this to my description earlier because I didn't want to turn any of the judges off and scare my fellow tribemates, but when I had to switch from blue to red, I decided that the red symbolized the rivers of blood that were about to start flowing after I started to slay the other 10 competitors. smilesmile
